In my opinion, the best skin crème for men is one that serves a number of purposes. The need for so many different male skin products is caused by companies that only want to use one or two active ingredients.

It helps them keep the price down, but they don’t pass that savings along to you. There is no need to be so specialized in the products that you use. You just need a few simple steps; cleansing, shaving lubrication and aftershave moisturizing.

For cleaning, the best skin crème for men is one that is gentle and natural. If you have sensitive skin, colloidal oatmeal is the best choice. If you’re not too sensitive, tea tree and orange oils are effective.

For shaving lubrication, keep a bottle of grape seed oil on hand. Those foaming gels that you use are not that good for your face. Whether you are talking about male skin products or those designed for a female, all of your lotions, creams and cleansers should be supportive and beneficial.

If something has a warning label concerning the possibility of redness, itching or irritation, don’t buy it. An allergic reaction can cause lifelong scarring. Down deep in the skin’s layers, those allergens that you have used over the years are storing up. Many of them cause free radical damage.

Free radical damage, you may know, leads to cancer, but it also causes those deep wrinkles that some people experience. The best skin crème for men contains a number of antioxidants, because they prevent the formation of free radicals, protecting the health and appearance of your face and body.

Grape seed oil contains the antioxidant vitamin E. It is most effective when combined with an emulsion of coenzyme Q10. This is an effective combination for after shave moisturizing, but don’t stop there.

Look for male skin products that contain the antioxidants and an ingredient called witch hazel extract. It comes from the leaves and bark of a shrub native to North America.

It was very popular as an aftershave, until the use of alcohols became so prevalent. Now many of us are returning to it. Since, those strong alcohols are so drying and then to increase redness.

Witch hazel is a component in the best skin crème for men to use after shaving, because it is soothing, reduces inflammation and redness. It is also a natural antiseptic, so it prevents infections in shaving nicks and cuts.

Capuacu butter and vitamin B5 should be included in male skin products, because they provide some natural protection from the sun and also because they soothe existing burns, whether due to a razor or too much time spent outdoors.

Want some real protection from the signs of aging? Try wakame kelp. If you’re into health food or Japanese cuisine, you may have eaten the kelp. It’s very healthy, since it contains so many vitamins and minerals.

The best skin crème for men contains wakame kelp extract, because it blocks an enzymatic reaction that breaks down the levels of protein in the skin’s layers. If your neck was starting to sag or you had darkness around your eyes, you will see improved elasticity and the shadows will fade. It might be a little difficult to find a cream that contains all of these, but it is well worth the effort.

fishFish oil is one of the best selling supplements in the US. But, not all fish oil is the same. Xtend-Life’s DHA fish oil is the best for many reasons.

Many consumers complain about fishy-tasting burps. The cause of the burps is not the oil, itself, but oxidation that occurs before the oils are encapsulated. The lower the level of oxidation, the higher the quality and there will be no fishy tasting burps. Xtend-Life guarantees it.

Many consumers are concerned because of mercury and other types of contaminants. We have been told to limit our intake of certain species of fish, because of mercury and PCB contamination. Xtend-Life has each batch of oils tested for contaminants by an independent laboratory. They post the results of those tests on their website. No detectable level of mercury or PCBs was found in the latest batch.

Many of the health benefits of fish oil have to do with inflammation. The natural anti-inflammatory activity of fish oils vary. The Wellington School of Medicine in New Zealand compared the anti-inflammatory activity of Xtend-Life’s DHA fish oil to other brands. It was found to have more than twice the anti-inflammatory activity of “normal” fish oil.
Xtend-Life fish oil has the highest DHA concentration of any of the major brands.

DHA or Docosapentaenoic acid has been shown to have a greater effect on total triglyceride levels and good HDL cholesterol levels. It is also the fatty acid that is most important to the brain and the eyes. When you compare the price per gram of DHA, you will find that Xtend-Life has the best price. So, it provides the best value for your money.
But, what are the health benefits?

There are benefits to the:

Joints—reduces the pain of rheumatoid and osteoarthritis, reduces joint stiffness, improves mobility, reduces the number of pain-relievers a person must take every day

Brain—reduces depressive feelings, improves symptoms of ADHD, essential for normal brain development in the fetus and during childhood, beneficial in neurological disorders including Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s disease

Reproductive system—improves sperm count and motility

Allergies—reduces the risk of developing allergies in childhood and reduces the severity of allergies in adults

Heart—lower blood triglycerides, improved HDL levels, reduced risk of clotting, reduced risk of atherosclerosis

Eyes—reduced risk of age-related macular degeneration and other eye diseases

Digestive system—improves irritable and inflammatory bowel, promotes regularity

Skin—improvement in conditions like acne, eczema, psoriasis and dermatitis

There are additional benefits for people with diabetes, asthma and gout. In addition to the benefits for the developing baby, there may be significant benefits for pregnant women, including a reduced risk of premature delivery, miscarriage and post-partum depression.

But, in order to get any of the benefits, you must be sure that the brand you buy is pure, fresh and potent. There are a number of good brands on the market, but only Xtend-Life provides the best value for your money…guaranteed.

Caring for your skin and caring for your body go hand in hand. Your skin is like a mirror that reflects all your habits. If you eat healthy and treat your body well, the result will be healthier more supple skin. However, if you eat foods that are greasy and bad for you, it will show through your skin in the form of pimples and blemishes. Because your skin releases toxins from your body many of the things you eat indirectly affect your skin.

One of the most important facial skin care tips is to maintain a healthy eating habit. By creating and sticking to a healthy diet, you will not only feel the benefits of it, but you will also see the benefits through a more lean body and most importantly you will notice it by the texture and complexion of your skin. Drinking a lot of water and eating healthy are important facial skin care tips that will not result in immediate improvement, but it will also be noticed as the years pass.

Aside from a good diet, cleansing and moisturizing are important facial skin care tips. Eating healthy helps maintain the health and look of your skin from the inside out, but that alone will not necessarily cure any skin problems that you may have. Cleansing daily helps to clear away any environmental damage that your skin may be suffering from, such as dirt or toxins.

Moisturizing will also help your skin as it works as a barrier locking in moisture and protecting your skin. Exfoliating and weekly facials are more facial skin care tips that are useful. By exfoliating you are removing any unwanted dead skin cells allowing a cleaner, smoother layer of skin to appear. Facials can also be helpful in the maintenance of your skin, as various facials achieve various outcomes. Most facials are relaxing and soothing for the skin, where other facials open up the pores and allows the skin to breathe. If you suffer from oily skin then a facial that will tighten your pores may be an ideal product.

There are many products out there and several facial skin care tips that can be found through the internet and also in health magazines. But the constant repetitive tips are those that tell you to eat healthy, exercise, and cleanse daily. By following these facial skin care tips you will be successful and over a short period of time you will see results with a more clear healthy complexion. You can also obtain tips from your dermatologist who will be able to advise you on the right kind of skin care for your skin type.

Living acne free is a dream fro some people. For the majority of people acne is a phase they go through during adolescence. For others, though, acne is something that continues to plague them through adulthood. Living acne free is about adopting a lifestyle that will allow you to create good conditions for your skin and prevent the further development of acne.

The Dirt and Grime Acne

Dirt and oil are the two biggest culprits that lead to acne. Freeing your skin from dirt and oil is essential in your fight to be acne free. Acne is caused by clogged pores. It can be visible on the skin’s surface as white heads, black heads or cysts. In order to be completely acne free a person has to make sure their skin is as free from dirt and oil as possible.

This can be difficult because you skin actually produces oil to help keep it healthy. However, it is excess oil that is the problem and must be handled. Dirt is easier to keep from the skin since that is an external problem, not internal like oil.

With these things in mind your road to acne free skin can be easier.

Baby Steps

The first thing you have to start doing is a skin care routine. You have to develop a good skin care routine that use daily. It should include cleansing, exfoliating, toning and moisturizing.

In addition to these steps you also need to have spot treatment plans. You may need to do spot treatment for dry skin, oily skin and when you have a breakout.

Dry skin needs to be moisturized with a non-oil based moisturizer. Dry skin encourages the skin to produce more oil and therefore can easily lead to acne.

Oily skin occurs when excess oil is produced and is the breeding ground for acne. Using the correct products in your daily skin care routine can really help to cut down on excess oil production.

Acne can be treatment with topical creams. Be sure to follow the directions on the package closely. Many of these OTC treatments contain ingredients that dry out the skin and can cause more trouble than good should you experience drying.

Additional Advice

Besides your regular routine and treatment methods, there are other things you can do to help keep your skin acne free. One of the biggest things is to not touch your face. You should avoid touching your face, especially with dirty hands. This causes you to transfer dirt and debris form your hands to your face which can clog pores and cause acne.

You should also choose make up that is not going to clog pores or introduce extra oil to your skin. Also make sure to not use things that irritate your skin, like shampoos and perfumes.

Getting acne free skin is a process. If you are plagued by acne it can be a long process, but it is something your can do. If you have severe acne you may even think about consulting a dermatologist to help you with prescription treatments.

All honeys have some medical applications. They have been used for thousands of years to heal wounds, sore throats, coughs, fight infection and kill parasites. Active Manuka honey, researchers have found, is the most active variety, in that it has strong antibacterial and antifungal properties.

The University of Waikato in Hamilton, New Zealand formed a complete research unit devoted to the study of Manuka honey products and other varieties. By studying honey’s chemical composition, they have developed an accurate method of identifying the floral sources. The unit has published a number of research reports concerning the medicinal properties of uses for different varieties.

The New Zealand researchers are not the only ones that have published clinical studies concerning the health benefits of topically applied or orally ingested honeys. Over the years, dozens of respected doctors and scientists have published their results.

But, despite this evidence, some medical practitioners dismiss it, as they do many other alternative remedies. This, I feel, is unfair to the general population. Relying solely on pharmaceutical products has actually “caused” some of the problems we now have to deal with.

Strains of bacteria have developed that are resistant to our drugs. Synthetic compounds used in topical ointments have been shown in numerous cases to do more harm, than good. I believe that natural remedies, like active Manuka honey, are the solutions we all need.

To those of us that are getting a little older, there are some specific benefits from Manuka honey products. As all of our biological functions begin to slow down just a little, our immune system becomes a little weaker. Active Manuka honey stimulates the immune system.

For those of us that are starting to see some sagging, wrinkles and age spots on our bodies, Manuka honey products can help. Researchers have shown that, when applied topically, they support the skin’s own cell renewal process and assist in the formation of stronger collagen.

Collagen is primarily responsible for the elastic nature of our skin. Once you pass the age of 30, your body begins to produce less. That’s why you start to see those signs of aging.

There aren’t many lotions or creams on the market that contain Manuka honey products, although other varieties are easy to find. We just don’t know how effective they are.

The best lotions that I have seen contain a number of plant extracts, oils, waxes and other nutrients beneficial to the skin’s overall health. Antioxidants, for example, fight free radical formation in the skin, as they do in the body.

Free radicals are the ultimate cause of wrinkles and many of the signs of aging, as well as skin cancer. Active Manuka honey is also a powerful antioxidant that can destroy free radicals and prevent their damaging effects.

The Psoriasis Diet Myth: Is There Truth In It?

The relationship between health and food intake has led to the emergence of myths such as the psoriasis diet myth. The psoriasis diet myth is actually something that warrants close scrutiny and research, since there are people who claim that certain foods and diets do help them minimize, if not clear up, the flare-ups that are part of the disease called psoriasis.

A psoriasis diet is essentially a group of foods or a dietary program that helps a person minimize or eliminate the itchy and scaly break-outs that occur during a psoriasis attack. Since psoriasis is a chronic ailment that stays in a person for the rest of his life, appearing as pustules, plaques or bumps that can be itchy, scaly or flaky, a diet that can help minimize the occurrence is indeed a worthwhile thing to investigate.

When a person states that he experiences a drop in the frequency of breakouts every year due to a change in what is being eaten, there may be some truth to such a statement. While there are people who are very skeptical about a psoriasis diet, there has been no ample research to prove or disprove such a possibility.

The foods that these people who claim to have experienced a reduction in psoriasis flare-ups often include vitamin rich foods and foods that leave little toxins in the body. Such foods include herbs that are known to cleanse a person’s body of toxins, omega 3 oils and other foods that will contribute to the overall health of the skin.

There are people who claim that by eliminating all meat and fish from their diet and going for a totally vegetarian diet, they have managed to eliminate skin problems such as psoriasis. While there is no scientific evidence to back this claim up, since there have been no studies yet to support such claims, these people are convinced that there may be some truth to the psoriasis diet myth. A thorough look into the claims that these people make about a psoriasis diet that can help minimize the effects of the disease can possibly be the solution to the psoriasis problem that you are suffering from.

While there is no proof of a diet that can help eliminate the flare-ups that occur with psoriasis, it would not hurt to eat healthy as the diets that are said to be effective in controlling psoriasis consist mostly of vegetables. Not only will a change in diet help with the possible clearing up of the flare-ups that occur, but it will also make you a healthier person.

Baby acne can be scary to some parents who have never had a baby before or have not had a baby with acne. You will find that acne in babies looks a lot like a rash. You will see pimple like bumps with red skin around them. You shouldn’t see your baby itching at them because they normally do not itch or irritate the baby in anyway.

Ask your Doctor

The acne usually presents itself about a week after the baby is born. It can last for a couple of week to a month. Usually, it is nothing to be concerned about because they are just pimples and not an allergic reaction to anything. If you suspect that it could be an allergic reaction, ask your doctor to look at your next well baby visit or call your doctor on the phone.

You doctor will simply look your baby to diagnose if it is an allergic rash or baby acne. Doctors usually do not have to do a blood test or other type of allergy test to determine what it is because baby acne is distinctive. Your doctor will simply ask you to keep an eye on it or any other symptoms and reassure you that it should disappear in a couple of weeks.

Baby acne will not leave any scarring and will vanish as quickly as it appeared. You will not be able to tell that your baby had acne. This is just one thing that baby’s first get when they are born.

Reason for Acne in Babies

There is no real medical cause for acne in babies except that some experts believe its from the hormones they receive from the mother at birth. These hormones much like the hormones in women, which cause adult acne, are transferred to the baby. The baby’s body then reacts to the hormones the same, which produces acne in babies.

Do not do anything to treat baby acne. This is not something you need to put creams on or scrub. It is not caused by dirt or unclean pores. It is untreatable. All you need to do is wait it out until it goes away on its own.

Baby acne might worry you but there it is really nothing to be concerned about because it is just a normal result of birth. Your baby is completely fine and the acne is not a rash from an allergic reaction. Your child will not have this acne for long and it will clear up as quickly as it came. Of course, if you see other signs associated with the acne you will need to let your doctor know to exactly know for sure.

The skin disease that is called guttate psoriasis is actually a type of psoriasis that affects only a small fraction of psoriasis sufferers. Guttate psoriasis is just one of the distinct types of psoriasis, and it is characterized by the small drop-like lesions that a person gets on his skin. When a person is infected with guttate psoriasis, he will basically have these lesions all over his body, and these may eventually develop white or silvery scales.

A person can get guttate psoriasis due to a few possible factors. One of the causes cited as a possible reason for the development of guttate psoriasis in a person is strep throat. This illness may trigger the occurrence of this kind of psoriasis, and it often happens without any prior indication that the person will be getting it. When a person suffers from strep throat, this type of psoriasis is likely to emerge, and while strep throat can be easily cured, guttate psoriasis will stay with the person for the rest of his life. This disease cannot be cured, but it can be kept to a minimum or controlled with continuous treatments.

This kind of psoriasis is one of the rarest of the psoriasis types, and while unsightly to look at, it is actually not contagious. People who are unlucky enough to get inflicted by this rare form of psoriasis may suffer some mild discomfort in the form of itchiness. Flakes may also appear over these teardrop shaped lesions if treatment is not used for it, and they may continue to increase in number and frequency unless something is done to help contain them. The treatments that can be used to help keep guttate psoriasis at bay include the usual treatments that most psoriasis sufferers use. There are topical treatments, oral treatments and even light therapy. Exposure to the sun without getting sunburn is also one of the known ways for a person to get some relief from guttate psoriasis, and it is also an effective way to keep the disease from spreading and propagating.

When a person suffers from this kind of psoriasis, he will need to consult with a doctor who knows what is needed to help the patient return to a normal life. Since this disease can strike without warning, oftentimes before a person reaches the age of 30, and stays with this person for the entire duration of his life, treatments are needed to help that person cope with lifelong itchiness and flakes, and possible skin infections if the problem is left untreated.

First, you need to know what kind of skin you have. If you notice that your skin is dry most of the time, and all over, then you should look for skin care products that market toward dry or damaged skin. If some parts of your face are dry while other spots are oily, this is called combination skin. Look for products that help you with this.

Normal skin care products are for people do not have overly dry or oily skin. If your skin is usually very greasy, then look for skin care products that have ‘oily’ on the label. It is important to pick the right products. If you don’t, you may end up with acne or worse feeling skin than what you started out with.

Then there are different kinds of skin care products that have different purposes. For example, cleansers are used to clean your face or other sensitive areas. They help get rid of any dirt, makeup, loose skin, or oily residue. This should be one of the first steps to your skin care regimen.

Moisturizing skin care products are also very important to the health of your skin. This is good for people who have dry skin. This is also helpful for after you wash your face as it adds more moisture back into your skin. As mentioned above, there are different versions for different skin types. People with dry skin will need much thicker moisturizer than people with oily skin.

There are some skin products that help with acne. They can come in many forms. They could be a lotion that goes over the entire face, or a cream used for spot treatment. These products are reserved for people who are susceptible to acne on their face or other parts of their body.

A major proponent to acne is dead skin. This can clog your pores and make you look duller in general. There are skin care products that can help you slough away the dead skin. For example, there are products that have tiny granules that can exfoliate your skin. It gets rid of any dead cells so that you look younger and have much better skin.

What is psoriasis and how does a person get this troublesome skin problem? When a person finds himself diagnosed with this problem, the question “what is psoriasis?” will certainly pop up. In a nutshell, psoriasis is actually a skin condition that a person gets through heredity, and it often results in the emergence of lesions, scabs, scaly skin, dandruff-like flakes and even dry-cracked skin on different parts of the body.

The questions “what is psoriasis” and “what can be done with psoriasis” can be easily answered by a doctor. Basically, psoriasis is a skin ailment that afflicts around 2% of the American population, and it is incurable. However, it is treatable with different kinds of medication to keep the lesions, flakes and dry skin from becoming too much of a hassle to deal with or simply just too unsightly.

Doctors who are asked “what is psoriasis” will give patients who ask this question the appropriate answers to help them understand the disease and its consequences. They will also recommend different kinds of treatments that can help get the scaling and the inflammation down to a minimum.

The treatments that can be given to psoriasis patients include topical creams and ointments, as well as oral medications like pills, tablets and light treatments that may include substances with sunblock properties. These different kinds of treatments are all dependent on the kind of psoriasis a person has and the severity of the problem. While these may be effective in one way or another, not every person diagnosed with a certain type of psoriasis will get the kind of treatment that can work well with his problems.

The question of “what is psoriasis” can also be answered if you try to find out the different types of psoriasis that a lot of people are currently experiencing. One of the most common types of psoriasis is scalp psoriasis. This kind of psoriasis can even be easily mistaken as an extreme case of dandruff, although it is one variant of the skin problem called psoriasis.

However, this is treatable with the same kind of medication that dandruff sufferers use, including shampoos with ketoconazole or selenium sulfide as the active ingredients for getting rid of the flakes that are generated by this illness. Another type that is rarer and may occur after a bout with strep throat is guttate psoriasis. This kind of psoriasis usually afflicts a person before he or she is thirty years old, and it is represented by reddish lesions that may dot the person’s body. These and a few more variations of the disease can certainly give you a better idea of “what is psoriasis”.

First, there is the “natural” aspect of the products. Practically all of the cosmetics you are currently using are loaded with chemicals, including artificial preservatives and colors. There is no need to put artificial preservatives in anything. Natural vitamin E is an effective preservative. It just costs more.

If you take a look at the label of ingredients on the lotions or face creams that you are currently using, you will see ingredients like petrolatum and mineral oil. In fact, most of the lotions on the market are nothing more than mineral oil, added fragrances, artificial preservatives and fillers. There is nothing truly beneficial in any of them.

In other natural products, there are not enough of the beneficial ingredients to do the main thing that you want to do. That is to delay the signs of age, for as long as possible.

What causes the visible signs of age, anyway?

Research indicates that the primary cause of facial aging is free radical damage. But, it’s not the only cause. Decreased production of collagen fibers and low levels of hyaluronic acid play a role, too. Inflammation is a factor, as it is in the aging of the cells that occurs throughout the body.

There are products on the market that contain ingredients to address one or more of those issues. But, there are no other products that contain ingredients to address all of them. The Xtend-Life products are unique.

If you use the complete line of products, you will have the best facial creams, the best body lotion and the best eye gels. You will have a wonderful deep cleansing mask and the only deep moisturizing mask on the market.

Xtend-Life has developed products for both men and women. They contain slightly different ingredients in order to address problems unique to a man.
Men are more likely to suffer from the detrimental effects of inflammation, due primarily to regular shaving. Of course, overexposure to the elements plays a role, too.

If you suffer from redness or rosacea, the facial creams will help to correct it. If you used to be a sun worshiper and have age spots on your face or body, the Xtend-Life products will help.

Its purpose and duty is to protect our inner body from the outside world and anything that may be harmful such as viruses or bacteria. Our skin is also what helps us to determine if things are wet or dry or cold or hot as well as regulating our body temperature. When our skin develops different skin conditions, they may affect the duty of the skin.

Skin Conditions are something that we all suffer through at one time or another in our life. There are many different types of skin conditions. Some are temporary such as sunburn, measles, heat rash, ringworm and scabies, while other skin conditions like warts, rosacea, acne, eczema and skin cancer are more permanent or long-lasting skin conditions. Some skin conditions are hereditary or genetic while others are the result of an allergy, dry skin, accident or any number of causes.

Some very common skin conditions are dermatitis, hives and acne. Dermatitis is a medical term for inflammation of the skin and involves itchy, red and swollen skin. Although it’s not contagious or life threatening, it can make you very uncomfortable. There are two types of dermatitis: seborrheic dermatitis and atopic dermatitis, which is actually eczema. Seborrheic dermatitis is a condition of the scalp that causes dandruff.

Other varieties of dermatitis are contact dermatitis, which comes from repeated contact with irritants or things that cause allergies; perioral dermatitis, which is a rash surrounding the mouth; stasis dermatitis, which is caused by a fluid buildup under the skin on our legs; neurodermatitis, which is a chronic and itchy condition that is on specific parts of the body. All of these skin conditions have the similar symptoms of itching, redness, skin lesions and redness.

Although many skin conditions are not very serious, if left untreated, they can develop into something more serious. Dry skin is a condition that will often cause skin conditions to develop such as eczema, which may cause a lot of discomfort.

Dry skin can cause rashes, hives, eczema, dermatitis and other skin conditions that often result in a trip to the dermatologist. Although some skin conditions cannot be prevented, many can by prevented by taking good care of our skin. Our bodies require a lot of fluids to maintain their softness, pliability and strength. It’s important to drink at least eight glasses of water each day.

Skin should have creams and moisturizers applied on a regular basis to make sure it remains soft. A good diet is also very important towards keeping our skin healthy. By making sure our skin is healthy, we are at less risk of developing skin conditions.
